Policies and Personal Message

This house has been our passion for eight years now, my how time flies! The joys and yes, pains of renovations have certainly kept us busy. An historic home is always a work in progress and because of that we are so thankful to all our guests who have put up with some of the inconveniences and shared their opinions and creativity with us. We are finally done with the “big stuff” and it is now our pleasure to share this home the way it was intended during its grandest times.

As owner and innkeeper, I can honestly say that every person that walks through our door has fueled our passion and devotion. You have become a part of our lives; past, present and future. The memories we have made and experiences we shared have truly been wonderful! So many have asked about our personal trials and if we are happy with the decisions we made-not only leaving our family and friends but the financial risk of the home and business. The answer has no hesitation. The best way to explain is to share the wonder I feel as I walk through the park or gaze out over the horizon in my yard. The ever-changing views of the mountains fill my spirit with a peace and serenity in my spirit. We never tire of their beauty. There is no regret. This is home.

We would like to invite all of you to come say hello again or share a new friendship. Please come and join us- experience natural beauty, history, and relaxation at its best. The Cumberland Manor Bed and Breakfast is our home, your home and the “gateway to the west”.
